During our in-class work block on December 10th, I worked as much as I hoped. Mr. Morris gave me a sheet talking about the “OpenDyslexia” font, allowing dyslexic people to read, so I spent the first ten minutes looking the font up and comparing the shape of it to other common fonts. I’ve chosen the main fonts I wanted to work with, and also learned about what the ending term of a font was, for example, what the “sans ms” meant at the end of Comic sans. I also researched a bit on the components and terminology of a font, like serifs. My goal for next block is to research and delve deeper into specific fonts. I am going to dedicate time to researching one certain font to really get to know it better. If I can find any books on fonts, I may read it in my focus block and do research more at home.
